# Confluence search

Find pages by endpoint path, operation ID or summary with Confluence search.

When you save the macro, Apifolio stores a short text digest of the API in the macro: title, version, sections and one line per endpoint (method, path, operation ID and summary). Confluence indexes it, so searching for `createInvoice`, `/v1/orders` or "refund a payment" finds the page that documents it.

The digest is refreshed every time the macro is saved. If you upload a new version of the spec with new endpoints, open the macro configuration and click **Save** to update the search index. The documentation itself always shows the latest file.

The digest contains only endpoint names and summaries, never examples or full descriptions. It follows the page's permissions like any other page content.
